Suzuki Guitar!

The Suzuki method is a time tested and highly effective method for teaching music to children. When making a decision about activities for your child, please inform yourself in order to make a decision that fits best with your family. Follow above links to learn more about the Suzuki method.

Suzuki guitar lessons require a strong commitment. These are not your typical music-store lessons and as with so many things in life, you get out what you put in. The expectation is that you will put in daily practice time, attend group classes, participate in recitals and other studio events.
Be prepared for amazing results!

Parents are involved. Unlike other activities where parents remain on the sidelines, parents play a key role in Suzuki lessons. Before children begin lessons, their parents attend several orientation classes that cover studio policies, Suzuki philosophy and basic guitar technique. Parents attend lessons and group classes with their child.

Just as children learn their native language by listening, they will learn how to play guitar by ear. When students are comfortable playing the instrument, they will learn how to read music.

If you are interested in providing the best musical education for your child, contact me. I am always happy to meet with parents and children to discuss the Suzuki method of learning to play the classical guitar.
